Polly Parrot perched on her favorite branch, feathers gleaming, when a frog nearby went “Ribbit!”
“Ribbit!” Polly repeated instantly, her feathers puffing up with delight.
A bouncy rabbit hopped past — boing, boing!
“Boing! Boing!” Polly copied, bobbing her head and giggling at herself.
Nearby, a fish leapt into the pond — splash!
“Splash!” Polly squawked, flapping her wings with glee.
Bella Bunny froze mid-hop, eyes wide with excitement. “Wait a minute… Polly copies EVERY sound?”
“Let’s test her!” giggled Sammy Squirrel, rubbing his paws together mischievously.
“Meow!” Sammy tried, grinning widely.
“Meow!” Polly repeated instantly, tilting her head with a proud little squawk.
The animals burst into laughter, and just like that, a silly game began. One by one, they invented the wackiest sounds they could imagine — quacks, honks, boings, and squeaks — and Polly copied every single one perfectly, without missing a beat.
“Cock-a-doodle-BOING!” someone shouted, mixing two sounds into one ridiculous combo.
“Cock-a-doodle-BOING!” Polly echoed proudly, and the whole forest erupted into helpless giggles.
Soon, the entire meadow rang with silly sounds and joyful laughter, animals rolling in the grass, tears of laughter in their eyes.
Polly beamed, feathers ruffled with pride. Her copying hadn’t just been funny — it had turned an ordinary afternoon into the giggliest, happiest game the forest had ever played.
Lesson: Playful copying can create big laughter.
