Greta Giraffe stretched her long, graceful neck high into the treetop, plucking a juicy red apple with ease.
“Yum!” she smiled, munching happily, sunlight warm on her spotted fur.
But as she reached for another, something caught her eye. Below, a bunny, a squirrel, and a little turtle stood together, gazing upward with longing eyes at the apples hanging so far out of reach.
Greta paused mid-bite. They can’t reach them at all… not even close.
Her heart squeezed softly. She swallowed her apple and looked down at her friends with a gentle smile. “Would you like some too?”
Their faces lit up instantly. “Oh, yes, please! We’ve been hoping and hoping!”
Greta stepped closer to the tree and gave the branches a gentle shake. Rustle, rustle! Apples tumbled down — plop, plop, plop! — bouncing softly onto the grass below.
“Hooray!” the animals cheered, scrambling happily to gather the apples, munching together with delighted giggles.
Greta beamed, her heart warm and full. Being tall had always felt a little different… but today, it meant something truly wonderful.
Because using what made her special had brought a happy feast to all her friends.
Lesson: Using what makes you different can help others.
